Exhausted

I'm turning to other stations now when news of the debt ceiling crisis comes on. I get so upset at the shenanigans going on there. It can't be healthy for me. I just get irate when people are willing to wreck the country rather than compromise, especially when a compromise is on the table that has 3 parts the amount of what they want to 1 part of what the other party wants. Hopefully the lunatic fringe can be brought to heel before they throw this country off the tracks.

Arrgh. I'm getting too angry just writing about this. Okay, peaceful interlude:
This last weekend we went for our first camping trip of the season, and my first hike of the season. There is something wrong with that occurring so late in the season, but anyway... We went camping with our church up near Beaver Reservoir. It was great to get out and spend time with the church family. However, with all the kids, dogs, and flaming sticks, it was not the relaxing getaway I long for when I camp. We did sneak away for some hiking by ourselves, which lead us to a secluded spot on the lake. We also did some four-wheeling with some friends. However, over the weekend, I think we both were exhausted. We mainly spent Sunday laying around and recouping.

Unfortunately, the only photos I got from the weekend were sunset pictures like the one above. My camera's batteries went out after just 10 pics. I did get some cell phone pics, in particular of a chair burning in the firepit, but nothing worth writing home about. So why am I writing about them. Sheesh. I should mind my idioms.
